We are a small group of dedicated Blockchain enthusiasts looking to create a fun, collaborative, and inviting Meetup focused on Smart Contract technologies like Solidity. What is a Smart Contract?
A smart contract is a computer protocol intended to digitally facilitate, verify, or enforce the negotiation or performance of a contract. Smart contracts allow the performance of credible transactions without third parties. These transactions are trackable and irreversible. The aim of smart contracts is to provide security that is superior to traditional contract law and to reduce other transaction costs associated with contracting.
What will the User Group cover?
Ethereum and other cryptocurrencies have implemented types of smart contracts using languages such as Solidity. Although Solidity is a huge topic, we strive to keep the user group topics related to all things "smart contract" in any other languages/methods/frameworks.
