SmArt Drawing and Sculpting from the Figure

Join us immersive art course sculpting a clay sketch which can be fired . We will be working and sculpting directly from an amazing and inspiring life model and then learn how to prep it for firing it to take home. This is a special experience, there are very few places you can work directly from a life model. Its suitable for anyone over 18. Beginners are welcome but it is not tutored-just a little coaching available and the digging out process is taught as a free separate session. Its a short course just designed for a small sculpture sketch with no or a basic armature

What it involves: 4 mornings directly sculpting in a sculptors studio followed by an optional long session/day of digging out, This technique that preps a piece for firing. Once learnt- this technique can be used again and again making sculpted pieces. So whether you are a seasoned artist or beginner this event is the perfect opportunity to delve into the world of fine art clay modelling and unleash your creativity.

In this series, i will be sculpting alongside but happy to do it bit of coaching

Includes : additional free digging out day to prep the piece for firing in an extra long session -booked later
Cost £100 for the whole course including clay, baseboard and lend of tools etc and digging out. Fee paid upfront for the month
Reduced cost of £75 for the Sculpture club members who have experience and bring their own stuff

This is a special event in which Emma models will be walking and fluid repeatedly, in particular stopping at 3 posed points. The timing of the pose points will vary. Emma is a fantastic and very popular model and this has proven to be one of the most exciting interesting variations of pose sets.
