In fact, there are a multitude of programs designed to help buyers achieve affordable home ownership in Washington State with low or no money down. Myth: You have to be a first time home buyer to take advantage of down payment assistance programs.
Truth: Not necessarily - each program has different criteria. However, so long as you haven't owned your primary residence within the last 3 years, you may meet the criteria for many programs.
Myth: You have to meet low income limits to take advantage of low down/down payment assistance programs.
Truth: There are several programs available which do require low income limits, but the annual income requirement to take advantage of the Home Advantage Program is $180K per year.
