Citizen Communication reinvented – Case studies from Munich and abroad

Details
The concept of the Smart City is focused upon the interests and needs of all citizens. Quick and easy communication is a core component for the organization of citizen participation in a Smart City.
By creating efficient ways of digital participation, a future city worth living in will be ensured. Efficient forms of communication are necessary to include citizens in important decision making and to encourage individual engagement. The goal is fun and active involvement of the citizens in their municipalities.
Therefore, a successful digital citizen participation of a Smart City has to connect the city’s administration with its citizens and enable the citizens to communicate among each other individually.
For our next meetup event we have invited Marek Vogt from the City of Rotterdam to introduce us a current solution of digital citizen participation called Smarticipate (https://www.smarticipate.eu/). Our other speaker will be Martin Laschewski who will tell us about the experiences and challenges regarding FreiRaum-Viertel (https://freiraum-viertel.de/) a digital solution in Munich.
You are very welcome to join us in the discussion with our keynote speakers and Arjen Wijnands, one of CGI’s experts regarding digital citizen participation from the Netherlands.
