Intro to gardening robotics - check out the new bord FarmBot

Details

As part of our robotics/LoRa/Smart Sensors and automation initiative, we are setting up a showcase of all the latest and coolest green tech for people to see and learn about.

We built a farming robot from a kit designed by farm.bot of California. It is all 3D printed and open source and can be extensively improved and modified.

Next to this robotic farmer we will have 2 classic garden patches to be maintained manually. We shall see if our robot can beat humans and grow the best potatoes :)

We have a Genesis XL - 18m2 mounted on a stone raised bed. It took A WHILE to build it and then fine tune it. Now it is ready to be put through its paces.

So come on out to our farm and check out this new robot! Marvin, our resident mechatronics engineer, will provide an intro and everyone can try their hand at robotic gardening. Those interested can then sign up for a follow up programming session.

How it works
Jump on the E19 bus from Gran Via to Alella or come by car. The bus takes about 20 minutes and there is a 10 minute walk to the farm after that.

There is no charge and you can taste our own home grown wine whilst you are at it.

When you RSVP, I'll pass you a whatsapp link for last minute organization.

See you soon!
