The future of API testing with Playwright!

SmartQA South Africa is excited to announce its first MeetUp on June 19th!

We're excited to meet with testing and automation experts from South Africa. SmartQA, a Dutch-based company with 30 years of experience in testing and testing automation, is eager to promote the growth of the testing community in South Africa. Our dedicated team focuses on quality and automation, and our motto is "Building a better code base with automated testing."
The workshop will focus on Playwright, a tool that is currently gaining popularity in the test automation market with great success. Test automation engineers all over the world have embraced it for its ability to build true end-to-end tests. Playwright not only supports web application automation but also enables direct interaction with the REST APIs that are part of the entire application. During this hands-on workshop, we'll get to work with these features.

• Testing an API with Playwright, setting up and handling the response.
• Setting up a post-condition via API interaction with Playwright before testing the web application.
• Validating a post-condition via API after interacting with the web application with Playwright.
• Next, we cover Playwright's mock API capabilities. This feature is useful when a REST API is not yet available, but you want to write a test for the front-end. These mock features make writing an end-to-end test with Playwright a complete solution to your test automation needs.

During the workshop, you will need a laptop with VSCode, Node v18, NPM and a good dose of enthusiasm. We will provide the framework and the automation fun. Looking forward to seeing you there!
