The SMART Recovery 4-Point Program is science-based, abstinence-oriented, secular and facilitated mainly by trained graduates of its program. there have been 15,000 meetings in MA since 1990. Please check out our interactive website: smartrecovery.org, which has 30,000 registrants and volunteer-supervised Message Boards, Forums and Chat Rooms as well as 18 SR meetings per week. There is also a meeting for concerned Friends and Families. The SMART Recovery Handbook has been translated into 11 languages. There are 650 SMART Recovery meetings each week on 6 continents.
The hat is passed to support the organization but contributions are totally voluntary. All SMART Recovery/MA personnel are volunteers, most graduates of the SR program.
