It Lasts Forever and Then It is Over by Anne De Marcken

Join us in the Best Cafe at VMFA for our August event (inside if it is hot, outside if it is cool enough). It Lasts Forever and Then It Is Over by Anne De Marcken follows an unnamed zombie wandering a post-apocalyptic world in search of memories of her former life and lost love. Through its surreal and lyrical style, the novel explores grief, identity, and what remains of us after loss. A haunting and unconventional story, it offers plenty to discuss about memory, mortality, and human connection. Sidney Review of Books
