Smerconish Mingle Meetup Chicago

I am a huge fan of Michael Smerconish – who is a political commentator known for down-the-middle views. He is on SiriusXM, has a podcast, has a CNN show Saturday morning, etc.

Michael believes that part of the reason for such political divisiveness is that people just don’t mingle anymore. More people stay at home and just seek confirming information online - rather than join bowling leagues, softball teams, service clubs, etc.

In that spirit Michael travels and does speeches on the importance of mingling with others, and has encouraged his listeners to create opportunities to mingle with other listeners and frankly anyone who is open to meet new people and have reasonable balanced conversations on politics and other topics.

In that spirit, I am hosting a Mingle Meet-Up Sunday, March 16 at Pompei on Taylor Street.

Yes, we may discuss politics, but that is not the goal. It’s just a way to bring together diverse people to mingle and have a good time. I have also included a link to Michael’s website. If you have not already, I encourage you to peruse his website, sign up for his daily newsletter and maybe even give him a listen.

And for those who attended in December, I'm sorry for the delayed meetup scheduling - my back got the best of me.
