As we kick off a new year, we’re excited to gather again for Smerconish Mingle Meetup #5. What started as a small experiment has grown into a community of more than 100 people, all drawn together by a shared interest in thoughtful, civil conversation. We’re hoping to welcome even more voices in 2026.

Our previous meetups have been lively, respectful, and genuinely engaging, blending personal connection with discussion about the ideas and issues shaping our world. Inspired by Michael Smerconish’s The Mingle Project, this group is for those who often find themselves somewhere in the middle - curious, questioning, and eager to listen as much as they speak.

We’re also still seeking topic suggestions, so if there’s a question, issue, or theme you’d like the group to explore, please share it!

A few important details for Meetup #5:

• We can host up to 20 people total
• Meetup only allows 10 official RSVPs
• Once those spots fill, please join the waitlist
• Anyone on the waitlist (positions 1–10) is still welcome to attend. We just ask that we don’t exceed 20 participants overall
