One of the crown jewels of Richmond, Maymont is a 100-acre historic estate with stunning gardens, wildlife, and walking paths. Itās the centerpiece of our tripāand honestly, you could spend an entire day here without getting bored.

Italian Garden
This is the more formal, elegant side of Maymont. Expect:
- Terraced lawns and stone pathways
- Beautiful fountains and statues
- Rose gardens and a pergola
- A classic European feel inspired by Renaissance Italy
Itās perfect for photos and a slower, scenic stroll.
Japanese Garden
Completely different vibeāthis one is peaceful and immersive:
- A large waterfall and koi pond
- Stone bridges and winding paths
- Red maple trees and traditional lanterns
- Designed as a āstroll garden,ā meaning every turn gives you a new view
This is easily the most relaxing part of the park.
