We'll be rafting with River Riders Family Adventure Resort, an experienced local outfitter that has been leading outdoor adventures in Harpers Ferry for decades. Our guided rafting trip takes us through the scenic Shenandoah and Potomac Rivers, right where West Virginia, Virginia, and Maryland come together.

Expect Class I–III rapids, making this a great adventure for both first-time rafters and people with some previous experience. River Riders provides the rafts, equipment, and professional guides, so just come ready to paddle, get wet, and have a great time!
The rafting experience is about 2–3 hours on the river, surrounded by the beautiful scenery of Harpers Ferry.
Whether you're an experienced paddler or have never been rafting before, this is a great way to get outside, meet some new people, and experience one of West Virginia's most beautiful outdoor destinations.
🍷 Winery Afterward!
Once we're done battling the rapids, we'll keep the day going with a relaxing stop at a local winery.
The winery location is TBD and will be announced once we choose the best spot for the group. We'll wind down with some wine, good conversation, and a chance to relax after our adventure on the river.
💰 Cost
Whitewater rafting: $74.99 per person
Winery expenses are separate.
River Riders also offers group discounts for advance group reservations, so the final cost may be lower depending on the number of people who join.
⚠️ A Few Things to Know
You will get wet, so dress appropriately!
Wear clothing and footwear that you're comfortable getting wet in.
Bring sunscreen and a change of clothes.
Rafting trips operate rain or shine, although River Riders may modify the trip based on unusual river conditions.
Guided rafting generally requires participants to be around 6 years old and at least 50 lbs, although requirements can vary with water levels.
River Riders has limited weekend parking, so carpooling is strongly encouraged.
