Smiley Social Beginner Volleyball Tournament!

Welcome to the Smiley Social Volleyball beginners end of summer tournament!!

This a co-ed event intended for Smiley Social players that started in 2026 and have been participating in at least one of our weekly games regularly. Official signs up for this event will end 8/21 at 5pm, but additional players may be accepted on an as needed basis at the discretion of the hosts. Note that the event will show up as full before 8/21 at 5pm because we are adding participants from the wait-list to attending manually.

For those that sign up in attendance is required unless extenuating circumstances occur as to not interfere with the balance of teams. If there is an extenuating circumstance, reach out to the host immediately and let them know.

Teams will be decided privately among team captains that the hosts will select from any volunteers. If you’d like to be considered as a team captain, express your interest by end of day on 8/19 and we will get back to you by end of 8/21 to let you know if you were selected as captain. Additional messages regarding details will be sent to those selected.

Tournament rules and set up:
We will bring using round robin as the set up for our tournament. For those unfamiliar here is a breakdown:

Each team will have the opportunity to play against the other teams once. After this, the top four teams will continue to the playoffs. The best of these four teams will be paired against the team that came in fourth and the remaining two teams will be paired against each other. The two teams that win these games will move on to the final round. If there is a tie in records, the team that won the game against the other will be considered the better record team.

The hosts reserve the right to remove anyone from the event at their discretion.
