One step closer to predicting movement: Testing the power of OpenPose

Details
For an Expo we had in September, we built a demo game (think Pong meets Computer Vision), where the goal was using body movements to score points against another person trying to do the same.
To do this, we used OpenPose, a real-time multi-person keypoint detection and multi-threading library. It was such an interesting mini-project that we figured, why not use it as an inspiration for the next Snacks & Hacks meetup?
So, here we are. Do you want to dip your hands in OpenPose, Docker, Nvidia Cuda, PyMunk, PyGame, OpenCV, and more? Join us on the 9th of October. As usual, we have two assignments with varying degree of difficulty.
Program:
18:00 - 18:30 Walk-in (food and drinks).
18:30 - 19:00 Introduction to OpenPose and task
by Anchormen's CTO, Jeroen Vlek.
19:00 - 21:00 Hacking!
21:00 - 21:15 Wrap up.
Bring your own device, we will arrange the rest! GPU laptops preferred.
If you have any questions, please call us on this number:
+31 (0)20 773 19 72 and ask for Yordan (facility questions) or Jeroen (technical questions).
P.S. To get in the building, ring Anchormen on the display.
