Lathe Basics - Magic Wands*

• What we'll do
You're a wizard Harry! Now you just need to make a wand. We will be learning the very basics of using a lathe to turn wands. No experience with woodworking needed. Each participant will make at least one wand during the class depending on time and you will be authorized to use the wood lathes at the space.

We will cover:
Safety
Preparing wood
Shaping (we will be using carbide tools as they are easier for the new turner)
Finishing
