Join us as we go through all the amazing wonders the SnoCo Maker Space Woodshop can hold for you! This course will cover basic power equipment safety and operation, as well as wood shop etiquette and cleanup procedures, and is a pre-requisite before you may start working in the wood shop .

Tools introduced in this class:

  • Table Saw
  • Miter Saw
  • Band Saw
  • Planer
  • Jointer
  • Router Table
  • Drill Press
  • Sander

Do students need to bring any supplies?

  • No

What should students wear?

  • Required: Closed toed shoes.
  • Required: Long hair must be secured.
  • Required: No loose clothing or jewelry. Drawstrings on hoodies must be tucked in. No gloves.

What about Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)?

  • Required: Eye safety. Safety glasses are on hand to use, but you are welcome and encouraged to have your own!
  • Strongly Recommended: Hearing protection.
  • Optional: Dust mask.
