We will also provide a tour of our Center for Innovation and discuss how our entrepreneurship series helps you deconstruct startup assumptions and get moving toward success faster and with less risk.

HOST // David Voetmann, a lifelong designer and maker, studied Industrial Design at the University of Washington and now runs The Facility Makerspace where anybody can jumpstart their creativity with access to an 11,000sf sandbox for innovation containing all the tools, training, and community you need to turn your thoughts into things.

PRO // Chuck Loomis is our on-site business coach. He has been a serial small business owner for the past 25 years and has owned travel agencies, a plastic manufacturing company (currently), and a consulting business (currently). He also sits on two nonprofit boards and teaches business and entrepreneurship courses at Edmonds College. Chuck received a BS degree in economics, courtesy of the US Navy. Before catching the small business bug he worked in the corporate world for General Electric and Macy’s as well as a manufacturing business and a seafood company. Chuck’s basic philosophy is adapt to change, communicate clearly, and always listen with empathy. He believes that giving back to community should be a requirement for any company, small or large.
