CARS AND COFFEE AT THE HONDA COLLECTION HALL

Join us as we go to visit the American Honda Collection Hall located in the main lobby of American Honda headquarters in Torrance, Calif. The event is free, entrance to the collection hall is free, and there is usually free coffee available for visitors to sip on as we wander among and appreciate the vehicles.

Previously this diverse gallery of automobiles, motorcycles, power equipment, marine engines and race cars was only available for private viewing. Now it is open and available for all to discover the rich Honda legacy in America.

We will explore the museum during one of their Cars, Bikes & Coffee events. These events are held on designated Saturdays every other month with a great turnout of Honda enthusiasts and owners displaying their own vehicles in the parking lot outside the main hall.

Honda has been doing these events on an every-other-month schedule for a few years now, and the theme for this event is "Heritage & Museums - a showcase of SoCal car and bike museums and vintage models". One of the best parts of these events is not only seeing the amazing cars that Honda has in its own collection, but the vehicles that other enthusiasts bring to event to show off. So, fingers crossed that we will see some amazing vintage vehicles in the outdoor enthusiast area.

The event is well organized by Honda and there are signs and personnel directing traffic. When you get to the listed address follow the posted signs and personnel to the designated parking area on the Honda campus. Next to the public parking area is the display area for the enthusiast vehicles which covers two small parking lots with a grassy area in between. We will meet up at the edge of the grassy area in-between the two lots of display vehicles, closest to the public parking lots.

After introductions, we can wander among the display vehicles outside and then over to the collection hall to view the vehicles inside. There is usually free coffee available as you enter the main display hall. The main hall also boasts a simple cafe when guests can purchase fancier coffees and light snacks.

After we have had our fill of ogling the beautiful cars, the group can decide on possible lunch options afterwards for those interested.
