The Ash Grove Alumni is an all star band which celebrates the great folk and blues music which was featured at the legendary club in Los Angeles for decades. Wendy Waldman, Joe Chambers, Steve Moos, Jerry Chambers and others.

The Ash Grove was a folk music club located in Los Angeles, where The Improv now stands, founded in 1958, and closed in 1973 due to arson.

In its fifteen years of existence, the Ash Grove altered the music scene in Los Angeles and helped many artists find a West Coast audience. Bob Dylan recalled that, "I'd seen posters of folk shows at the Ash Grove and used to dream about playing there." The club was a locus of interaction between older folk and blues legends and young artists that produced the Sixties music revolution.

Music Promoter Dave Lumian opens his beautiful shaded backyard to the public and brings in top-shelf musical talent. The concert is free, but a $20 donation to the band is recommended.

Beautiful outdoor park-like setting in a private residence in Newport Beach. Bring your own seat, picnic lunch, and beverages for a relaxing afternoon listening to this amazing band. It's best to get there 10 minutes early to get a space in the shade. FREE, but please bring cash. They will be passing the hat for donations for the band. It's a chill vibe and you are expected to bring a chill vibe with you.
