Join us for an immersive experience in the world of Malaysian and Singaporean heritage kuehs and snacks – one kueh at a time. On Wednesday, 29th October, we’ll kicking off our “hands-on” series of making the traditional kuehs with the Ku Kueh (translated as tortoise cake).

Ku Kueh holds a special place in various cultural celebrations and traditions in Chinese culture in Singapore and Malaysia. It is shaped like a tortoise, symbolizing longevity and good fortune and is often served during auspicious occasions such as birthdays, newborn's first month, weddings, and the Lunar New Year. Red is the traditional color of Ku Kueh which symbolizes good luck and prosperity. There are also a myriad of contemporary designs, colors and fillings that emerged in recent years like the uploaded photos we've done previously.

For this session, we’ll be sharing our cooking techniques and guide you through through the process, sharing practical tips and tricks in making home-made heritage Ang Ku Kueh (Red) with Mung Bean filling and Orh Ku Kueh (Purple) with Taro filling. In the interest of time, the fillings will be made ahead of time.
The price per pax is ฿400.

Looking forward to see you at this fun session and seeing the satisfaction on your faces in making your own kueh and enjoying them a cup of Chinese tea after that or bring them back to share with friends.
