Sedaplicious
Details
“Sedap” is a Malay word meaning delicious, tasty and yummy. In Malaysia and Singapore, it is used primarily to describe food that tastes or smells good or with a perfect flavor balance. For March 14th Meetup lunch, we’ll be cooking three classic Malaysian / Indonesian “sedap” dishes – Sayur Lodeh, Mi Bakso, and Gado Gado.
- Sayur Lodeh
Sayur Lodeh consists a variety of vegetables, tempeh, and tofu cooked in a rich coconut milk soup and served with Lontong (compressed rice cake) and Serunding Kelapa (Spiced Coconut Floss).
• Gado Gado
Gado Gado is an salad of slightly boiled, blanched, or steamed vegetables and hard-boiled eggs, boiled potato, fried tofu, tempeh, and lontong served with a peanut sauce dressing.
- Mi Bakso
Mi Bakso is a quintessential Indonesian yellow noodle / rice vermicelli soup dish featuring bouncy beef meatballs served in a savory, robust clear beef broth.
