Naan bread is an incredibly versatile, leavened flatbread that has soft, pillowy texture and slightly charred exterior.
Naan and curry are a quintessential Indian dining pairing with the smoky flavor of freshly made Naans complementing the mildly spicy Indian curry dishes.
We’ll be serving a few traditional types of Naan staples for scooping the rich and strong-flavored Indian curries and ending the meal with a refreshing yogurt drink for the Meetup Lunch on Saturday, May 25th.
1. Naans
Plain, Butter, Garlic and Kashmiri (nuts, dried fruits and raisins filling) Naans are available.
2. Butter Chicken
Butter chicken or murgh makhani is a curry made from chicken cooked in a spiced tomato and butter-based gravy. The gravy is known for its creamy, rich texture.
3. Lamb Keema
Lamb Keema is a traditional, savory Indian dish of minced lamb cooked with spices, onions, tomatoes, and often peas or potatoes.
4. Cauliflower and Cashew Do Piaza
Cauliflower Cashew Nut Curry (Cauliflower and Cashew Do Piaza) is a rich North Indian Mughlai curry featuring cauliflower florets and crunchy cashews in a creamy, onion-heavy gravy.
5. Mango Lassi
Mango lassi is a creamy, refreshing Indian yogurt-based drink made by blending ripe mangoes, yogurt, milk, and honey.
