Mamak eateries are popular food establishments in Malaysia and Singapore that serves Halal Indian Muslim cuisine. The word "mamak" comes from the Tamil term for maternal uncle, or maa-ma. Mamak food is a delicious fusion of Indian, Malay, and Chinese influences.
We’re doing two well-loved mamak dishes from home that transcend across any cultural barriers for June 27th - 28th weekend. Pre-orders only.
1. Indian Rojak (Mamak Rojak or Pasembur, as it is called in Penang)
Our version of Indian Rojak Set consists of a super generous spread of 12 different item types - Sesame Coconut Fritters, Vegetable Fritters, Prawn Fritters, Masala Fritters, Onion Fritters, Plain Ball Fritters, Fried Tempeh, Fried Tahu, Cured Cuttlefish, Fish Cake, Potato and Egg.
2. Mee Goreng Mamak
Mee Goreng Mamak is a popular stir-fried noodle sold in Indian Muslim stalls from home. Our version has fresh yellow noodles stir-fried over very high heat together with our homemade chilli paste, chicken slices, fried tofu, potatoes, bean sprouts, chye sim, and tomatoes and topped with a sunny side egg.
3. Teh Tarik
Complimentary teh tarik (literally "pulled tea") the popular Malaysia and Singapore frothy hot milk for all diners.
