Featured Game - Distilled

Featured games are our way of teaching new games and highlighting something we think our players may enjoy or take note of. We'll explain from scratch how to play the game with a detailed description and demonstrate a few turns, then break into tables to actually play it. Each week it'll be something new, but will run the spectrum of different lengths, complexities, themes, and game mechanics. So if this week's game doesn't interest you, feel free to look again next time around!

Distilled is a game of running a distillery. Over the course of 7 rounds, players go through a market phase where they can purchase ingredients, specialists, and other items in order to make various beverages. Each game will have a list of things to make with points and money earned from this, but with a limited amount of flexibility by using more or better ingredients. However, not every intended ingredient in your mix will actually make it into your final drink, providing a level of unpredictability and preparation.

Distilled is a game for up to 5 players and should take experienced players about 15 to 20 minutes per player to complete. It has a weight of 3.03 according to BoardGameGeek, making it medium-high difficulty compared to games typically played here.

If this is your first time with this group, you should see a link to our Discord group once you've signed up for this event. Note that I, as the game teacher, will share my screen to show how the game works, but all other interaction will be voice only, no video, so no need to look presentable first.
