Introduction to Hashing

Details
A fundamental aspect of any blockchain is the underlying hashing algorithm. Tonight we will dip our toes, without getting overly technical, into the world of hashing. We will focus on SHA (Secure Hash Algorithms) and ECDSA (Elliptic Curve Digital Signature Algorithm).
Hashing is a method of cryptography that converts any form of data into a unique string of text. Any piece of data can be hashed, no matter its size or type. In traditional hashing, regardless of the input’s size, type or length, the output haha is always the same length.
Don’t get scared away if you’re not a cryptography geek. We will not go into the math and will keep it accessible for all levels of experience and interest.
