What we’re about
This is a new group for anyone in recovery, sober curious, friends and family of someone affected by alcohol, or anyone who considers themself to be on the spectrum somewhere and looking for a network of like-minded people.
There is physical addiction and psychological addiction. Ethyl alcohol is a Class A drug (according to the government's own criteria) that has been legalised. It is a poison, fuel, mild anaesthetic, and one of the most dangerous drugs on the planet today statistically.
For anyone struggling always seek professional help. There are also groups such as Smart Recovery, DDA, and AA. There are plenty of great quit lit books out there such as The Naked Mind by Annie Grace and Alcohol Lied to Me by Craig Beck. There are also sober podcasts on Spotify featuring everyday people such as Sober Sassy Mum and sober websites you can join.
Alcohol is the only drug where society labels you as an alcoholic when you become addicted to the highly addictive drug. It's not your fault and don't to label yourself. Language such as drink and drugs separates booze from the rest, which is all part of the brainwashing behind the big industry.
Alcohol also messes with you spiritually and can invite unwanted energies when your guard is lowered.
Let's plummet the sales to net zero together and make the world a better and safer place.
Power in numbers. Let's have some fun and hang out!
