Local Pond Catfishing (Anaheim)

Details
The city stocks the ponds multiple times a year. At Yorba Linda Regional, the schedule shows that the city plans to stock this pond the week of October 13-17th and then you wanna give the fish a couple of days to acclimate.
This may be a good opportunity to catch a few beauties! Don't eat catfish? That's okay! Give it to someone else who does or throw it back in. It's all good! There may also be some carp, blue gill, trout and bass in the water. Bass is catch and release only tho.
Need to know:
Fishing License is required for ages 16 and older. A Single Day is $20.52 or you can purchase an Annual Pass for $62.90

Bring:
- Fishing Rod & Reel (If you don't have one, you can purchase an inexpensive one at Big5, Bass Pro Shop, Turners, or any local sporting goods store) Combos could be less expensive unless you catch a great deal. I like a 10lb fishing line, but get what they recommend.
- Bait (chicken liver, hot dogs, cut up fish, something stinky, dough etc)
- Tackle: Hooks or Jigs - Sizes 5, 6 or 7 (the smaller the number, the larger the hook) Sinkers, Bobbers etc. If you don't have any, the sporting good store can show you some good buys and kits.
- Personal Items: Bring whatever helps you be comfortable (Snacks, drinks, sunscreen, etc)
- A Great Attitude If you're a seasoned or experienced fisherman, then you know the drill. But, if you're new to fishing, you learn to be patient. It can be extremely fun and exciting when you get a nibble and catch something or it can be very calming and relaxing.
