Santa Monica Go Club - Online

Update: Since we've been able to meet in person at the UnUrban Coffee House again, our online meetings are less populated. If you would like to get a game during this time, check out our Discord, say "hello", and see if anyone else is available for a game. Through the Discord chat we can arrange to play on any server.

The Santa Monica Go Club is currently meeting online Thursday evenings from 6 PM to Midnight on KGS (Kiseido Go Server) [ https://www.gokgs.com/ ] in the "Santa Monica Go Club" club room.

If you do not have a KGS login, or your login has expired, you can create a new login from the main KGS website https://www.gokgs.com/ via the "Sign up for a free account" button.

There are several ways to access the KGS server, including the original CGoban client application, the Shin KGS web application, and the GoUniverse Chrome extension.

To access the room in the KGS client application, select from the menu "Rooms" -> "Room List". In the pop-up window, expand "Clubs" and then scroll to find and select "Santa Monica Go Club". Click the "Join" button to add the "Santa Monica Go Club" room as a tab on the main window.

To access the room in the Shin KGS web interface, select "Join Room..." from the tabs on the left of the page. In the pop-up search or scroll to find and select "Santa Monica Go Club" to add the room to the list of tabs.

To access the room in the GoUniverse Chrome extension, type any part of the name "Santa Monica Go Club" into the "Search" box in the lower left of the screen showing your rooms list and press [Enter/Return] to search for matching rooms. In the search results pop-up, find "Santa Monica Go Club" and double click it to add the rooms to your rooms list on the main page. Close the "Room List" pop-up.
