Welcome! This is a group for people who are interested in hiking and other outdoor activities such as camping, backpacking, and rock climbing. I started this group to meet other outdoor enthusiasts. Looking forward to exploring the outdoors with everyone.

Hike difficulty: Intermediate, Walking on dirt path & rocks, some uphill or downhill but flat most of the way, with some shade on pathway. THE PARK WILL CLOSE AT 2PM.
Approximate distance round trip: 9.2miles.
Approximate elevation gain: +820ft
Approximate time done: 4hours. (I hope not)
Pets: No
Bathroom: Port-a-potty at entrance. None on trail.(RAIN will cancel this hike by the city of Irvine)
This is a limited access (400 people) in limited time (8am-2pm) trail in the OC Park system. This requires you to sign up and DO NOT WAIT and wing it on the day (I have seen people turned away). You have to check in by the “OC Parks tent” and may receive temporary badge to hike the trails. The website and the Ranger also have said that do not wait at the gate or you can get cited for obstructing traffic. The gate will open at 8AM. It will get hairy, so I decided to meet at 0810 and start about 0820 or when about 70% of the people show up. This time we will go to the Sink. We will start from the parking lot and walk towards “Limestone Meadow” to “Limestone Canyon” and we will take a break at the “Sinks” (3.8miles) and take some pictures. From there we will turn back around and stop at around 0.6miles to "Limestone Ridge trail" and decide wither to turn back or decide on second, "Sink." for those who want to see the second sink will turn right and walk until we see it and (add another 1.2 miles). This is going to be liner pattern or there and back. After the hike, we will discuss some places to go and refuel the calories that we've lost.*Parking: parking is free. If you come early, you can get removed or ticket. Other Meetup leader said several people did get a ticket in the past.
*We will meet near the front of the registration as shown in picture.
*Bring: hiking appropriate clothes/loose clothing, hiking shoes recommended, PLEASE BRING at least 2-3 LITERS of WATER and snack or food, hiking pole not needed but it will help. Sun block/hat/sun glasses highly recommended. DO NOT come to this hike with empty hands. It will be HOT. You are an adult, please be one and keep the 3 rules.SIGNUP EARLY you DO NOT have to PRINT anything. Only 400 people are allowed. If you can not get a spot early, you can sign up that day ONLY if there is space. If you and or your guest can not make it, please email on the website so other people can use the pass. We will wait 5-10mins before going as a courtesy for people coming late and people who are ready to hike. We know, its California. Due to limited time, we cannot wait for you but read the description for the trails we will use.
