January meetup at TeleSign (Marina del Rey)
Details
Our first meetup of 2017 is sponsored by the generous folks at TeleSign (https://www.telesign.com)! (Please note the new location of their office!)
Our first talk will be "Data Driven Modeling with Python," by Vera Kalinichenko, a Data Scientist at HeadSpace.com: (https://www.headspace.com)
Data Science is answering concrete business questions using problem modeling and available libraries: sklearn, pandas, h2o and visualization. Will demonstrate how to use machine learning libraries in python to inform business on the customer propensity to buy.
Specifically, we will cover data collection aspects, feeding data to Python code, choices of libraries in Python, training/testing and reporting the results to stakeholders.
Please feel free to reach out via the contact page if you would like to present at future meetups!
