Our new feature, Module of the Month, will by presented this month by Laura Rupprecht! (module to be announced)

Main talk: Exploring Natural Language with Python by Karim Amer

The talk for this meetup will be a 2 part (30 min each) live teaching and code session where you can code along if you want.

While the English language is used worldwide, 70% of the world speaks other languages. This is a problem that more and more companies are realizing they have, as they expand their products worldwide. It is becoming more and more necessary to write code.

The talk will focus on demonstrating how to use natural languages tools and libraries such as NLTK, Spacey and SCIPy to extract sentiment out of sentences and explore parsing foreign languages. Specifically we will use Arabic and Hebrew in our example and show some interesting bits that might not occur in English.

By the end of the talk you should be able to build a simple sentiment analyzer that knows how to parse languages from right to left

PARKING: Attendees can either park on the street for free or pay to park in the building using the guest parking entrance. The office is in Ste 200.
