We'll be enjoying three Talks this month:
“Iterators Redux”by @matt_happens We’ve discussed what iterators are, but not as much the WHY of Iterators in Python. How do we use iterators? Why do we have them? How can we use them to make our code more expressive? And, we’ll discuss Generators.
Dealing with Datetimes like a Pro, by @irinatruong Working with time series data is very common. The Python standard library provides basic tools, but is lacking in a few areas, like timezone calculations. In this talk, Irina highlights third-party libraries that closes the gap and simplifies processing of time series data.
Lastly, Saul Miller will help us understand Image Processing in Python. Even in a seemingly low-tech area like book publishing, an automated workflow with Python really helps speed things up!
Please note: RSVPs help our sponsors estimate how much food/beer to buy for us. If your plans change or you cannot attend, please RSVP "NO" so we can plan accordingly and so that everybody who can attend can get into the event.
