===== Talk 1 =====
Why should I learn Pandas? by Stephen Pettinato, Data Scientist at ThriveMarket.com
Pandas is a popular data analytics and data wrangling tool used by Data Scientists, Data Engineers and Data Analysts. Despite this, the learning curve is steep and rationalization and encouragement is required to get past being a beginner. This talk focuses on practical reasons that Pandas is useful as well as Big Data extensions to Pandas concepts of functional transformations using DataFrames.
===== Talk 2 =====
Writing for Engineers by Liz McFarland, Technical Writer
Bad documentation is the worst. In this talk, I’ll explain what makes bad docs bad and how to make them better. Whether your company has dedicated technical writers or you pass all writing duties off to the engineer with the least amount of typos, I’ll cover general writing advice and best practices applicable to all who care about good documentation.
===== As always =====
Please feel free to reach out via the contact page if you would like to present at future meetups!
Please RSVP only if you can actually attend in person. If your plans change, please kindly remove yourself from the "Yes" list so that those who can attend can RSVP!
Recruiters are not welcome unless they are with the sponsor of our event! Any other recruiters who show up at our meetup will be asked to leave.
