Cryptocurrencies are alive and kicking and looking for cryptospace to improve (and disrupt) our lives.

Imagine using Pyota, the IOTA Python API, to disrupt UPS by automating delivery vehicles with wallets and smart contracts so autonomous trucks and drones pay their own tolls, parking, delivery fees, and can recharge or fuel themselves. IOTA is partnering with European auto industry to achieve this. I'll show the Elaad demo as one intriguing example. And explain how this new frontier can be open to any Pythonista who is interested.

Faster Autocomplete: From Elasticsearch to pure Python! by Sep Dehpour, Software Engineer at Fair.com

Elasticsearch is an amazing tool, but sometimes you can do better if you use your imagination and write clean code. Yes, it can lead to very useful results... if it works. And if it doesn't, at least you learned something.

In this talk, Sep Dehpour will explain how rewriting the Autocomplete feature in pure Python instead of Elasticsearch helped dramatically increase the performance of the system by the factor of 3-4x, reduced errors to zero and ultimately led to a better user experience and happier customers.
