Pasadena July Meetup @ Jones Coffee Roasters

At long last, here's an event planned for those of us who can't make the trek to the Westside!

Our inaugural meetup will be at Jones Coffee Roasters on Saturday, July 11th, 2026 from 2-4PM. We will be meeting in their open-air patio at the front of the coffee shop (with the option to move to their generous indoor space if there's weather). Attendance is free, and you don't need to RSVP to attend, although it does help us to know what numbers to expect.

For this first SGV meetup, we don't have a speaker planned. Our only agenda is to get people together, to meet each other and talk over what we want the meetup to look like going forward. If you are interested in giving a talk at a future event - and this meetup can be a great place to practice speaking in a friendly environment - please message the organizers and let us know. You'll be sharing your knowledge with an attentive and grateful audience!

Getting there:

Jones Coffee Roasters is at 693 S. Raymond Ave, Pasadena, CA.

Train: The easiest way to get there is via L.A. Metro. The Raymond Avenue location is just across the street from the Fillmore Station. Just take the A line to Fillmore, turn west off the platform and cross Raymond Avenue. Jones Coffee Roasters is right there, just 300 feet from the train stop.

Car: Jones has a small parking lot and there is some street parking. There are also several parking garages in the area. If you're coming from the west, take the 134, and from the east, take the 210. Either way, you'll hit the 710/110 South, then take California Blvd. east for a few blocks until you reach Raymond Avenue.
