Speed Dating for the senses - Pheromone style! Ages 24-49

Ever find yourself magically connected/attracted to someone that may or may not have been your "type" for some unknown reason? Some people call it "chemistry"... and most of that chemistry is made up of pheromones. At this unique speed dating event, you will bring a t-shirt you have slept in 3 nights in a row (no excessive deodorant, no perfume, or cologne) in a sealed plastic bag. The bags will be numbered, and the smelling soiree will begin. Once you choose 4-6 bags that your nose falls in love with, the speed dating session will begin. See below for further information, including instructions on how to prepare for the event.
Registration fee is $25/person for single seekers ages 24-49, paid via paypal, or credit/cash at the door. Be forewarned, we can only accept 40 participants at each event, so admission is not guaranteed if you do not pay in advance. And...we are committed to your satisfaction. If you do not pick a match, your next event is free!
Now, you ask... how to prepare for the event? TONIGHT, sleep in a nondescript, preferably white, t-shirt. Nondescript means no photos or words on the t-shirt that would clue in the sniffer to your personality type. We want to make this as objective as possible! Please do not wear excessive deodorant or ANY fragrances if possible. We want to get YOUR scent, not Calvin Klein's. Please sleep in this t-shirt and don't wear it all day as we don't want to get too much of a whiff of your work day scent, if you know what I mean. ;) On Friday a.m. after you wake, please put this t-shirt in a Ziploc bag so that your scent is sealed in tightly. Do not write on the bag... we will number them all randomly when you arrive.
You will bring your scented t-shirt with you on Friday, June 1st at 6:30 p.m. to check in. We will happily collect your t-shirt and give you 2 free drink tickets (red or white wine) to help you loosen up and prepare you for the event. Once everyone is checked in, we will put all the bags out on tables, separated by males and females and let the smell party begin. You will chose 3-4 bags that you feel drawn to and turn your choices in. We will then move you over to the speed dating room and give you a little pep talk about how the night will go and how to BE to attract the most dates. Once the speed dating part of the process is complete, you are free to go, or continue a date that you'd like to hear more from... as long as both parties willingly agree. We will tally up all the connections made via Pheromone and then tally the standard speed dating results. We will contact you the next day with your matches... if you match someone pheromone-wise as well as face to face, we consider that a GREAT sign. If you connect with someone one way or another, still good news. And you will be able to make a move from there. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions!

A pivotal stage in any relationship is the point where people grow accustomed to each other's smell. But what if you could just skip the awkward courtship process and picked a potential mate based purely on their smell? One artist is looking to play cupid, one smelly t-shirt at a time, and her success rate puts online dating sites to shame.
Georgia-based artist Judith Prays (http://www.judithprays.com/) has been throwing her Pheromone Parties since 2010 in Brooklyn, New York. Attendees trade plastic bags stuffed with their own t-shirts, take a big whiff and pick a mate based on which scent they are most attracted to. Compared with other singles mixers, the results were astounding.
Of the 40 guests in attendance at Prays' first party, 12 reportedly "hooked up," while half of those people actually began romantic relationships. Prays got the idea for the party after realizing that picking mates based purely on physicality and scent wasn't such a bad idea. "The first time I dated someone for purely physical reasons, it was amazing how well it went," Prays told the The Daily (http://www.thedaily.com/page/2012/01/29/012912-news-tshirt-party-1-3/). "I was so into his smell even when it was objectively nasty. So then I just thought, what if I could choose people by smell?"
Individuals were directed to sleep in the same shirt for three days without any deodorant or artificial scent, giving the shirts plenty of time to soak in the scents. The success of the pheromone parties reveals the shortcomings of conventional dating sites, the artist believes. "Written profiles are misleading," Prays said. "It really only determines how good you are at writing profiles."
