Thanksgiving (Tustin)

Hi.

If anyone isn't traveling, doesn't have plans on Thanksgiving Thursday, and is looking for something productive and social to do--volunteering is worth considering and a good way to meet new & kind people imo. :)

Thanksgiving events tend to be full (several people want to help), so some events might be busy/closed.

If seriously interested, please check and confirm on your own.

In general, you can usually meet other nice & friendly people at these events.

If nobody else signs up from Meetup, you should be able to still volunteer with others who will attend (outside of Meetup).

However, if any group members sign up, feel free to coordinate with each other (where/when to meet, how to find each other, etc.).

Clarification:

Similar to a family member, friend, or co-worker sharing on social media about a restaurant, movie, book, song, etc. they like, I use Meetup to share about volunteer opportunities.

A librarian might not have written the books in a library, but s/he can still recommend books to the public.

So I'm simply suggesting some volunteer events that I think others might be open to helping with.

This event is from TyRon Jackson and Operation Warm Wishes.

He plans community service events throughout the year.

He is hosting another free Thanksgiving meal for the public.

The event is from 11 am - 3:00 pm...but my guess is volunteers might arrive earlier. I guessed and put 9:30 am as a start time, but it's important to contact TyRon and Operation Warm Wishes to confirm the start and end time....and also if they need volunteers.

His events typically get a lot of help (enough volunteers), so it's highly recommended to ask him if additional volunteers are welcome.
