Come and join our friendly, sociable group for a picturesque 5.5 mile circular walk exploring several stretches of woodland, part of the Greensand Way with fabulous views and the village of Hascombe with it's beautiful church and pond, where we will pause for a midway break with homemade cake. This walk includes several climbs and descents, some of which are long or fairly steep.
The walk starts and finishes at the free National Trust Hydon Heath car park (also called Hydon Ball) located on Salt Road between Milford and Hascombe, on the junction with Clock Barn Lane. Approximate postcode GU8 4BB. Better still is the What3Words pinpoint tricky.dispensed.quail.
We will leave promptly at 2pm so please let me know before the RSVP cut off if you sign up then are unable to attend.
Please wear suitable clothing and footwear for countryside, hills and changeable weather.
Most of the paths are unmade bridleways which can be muddy, so good walking boots are highly recommended.
You'll need to bring sufficient water for hydration and/or flask of drink to accompany the homemade blackberry and apple cake.
We'll be expecting to finish the walk around 5pm.
