St Martha on the Hill: energising 6 miles circular walk

Kick start your new year's resolutions with our first walk for 2024: a lovely, vigorous walk through beautiful, scenic Surrey countryside, taking us beside the placid Silent Pool, then along the Pilgrim's Way, ascending to the hilltop church of St Martha and back to Newlands Corner, enjoying a midway break to take in the views and refreshments. I will bring some snacks to share.

Meeting at the Newlands Corner free car park by 10am for a 6 mile bracing walk with plenty of ascents and descents and views to enjoy, as well as the company in this chatty, friendly walking group.

We will leave promptly at 10am, when all expected walkers have arrived.
There are loo facilities at this car park.

Please wear suitable clothing and footwear for countryside, hills and changeable weather.
You'll need to bring sufficient water for hydration and/or flask of drink, plus snacks if you'd prefer your own.

We'll be expecting to finish the walk around 1pm.

Attendees are responsible for their own safety at all times.
Please pay in advance by PayPal, to reserve your place. As refunds cannot be given (unless in the unlikely the event in cancelled) a credit will be given against a future walk only if you let me know of your change of plans before the RSVP cut off 6pm the day before the walk.
