Day Trip - D.C & Cherry Blossoms @ Tidal Basin

Planning to start in NJ at 8.30am and carpool and return back to NJ by 11.30pm
RSVP only if you have attended an event with the group before and if you seriously intend to attend, as we have to plan the carpool, snacks, drinks and food accordingly.

Let's do a day trip to D.C and gather at the National Mall to enjoy the Cherry Blossoms season at Tidal Basin and hangout around the Washington Monument and checkout the events and fireworks.

We will then gather around 11.30am at the Monument and walk around tidal basin (~2 miles), take photos.
We'll then head over to Constitution Ave and 7th St (~ 1 mile) for lunch, where they have a lot of Food Truck options.

After lunch, we will check out the Sculpture garden and head over to the Capitol Building/Fountain and Botanic Garden or do any fun activities suggested by the group.

Then, we'll head over to the Wharf (15 min walk) and spend some time there and head over to the Navy Yard, where the Petalpalooza festival is happening, with Fireworks scheduled at 08:30pm.

Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes and as we will be outdoors and walking most of the time. We look forward to meeting you all again!
