Formby Beach Walk – Sunday 19 July 2026
Join us for a relaxed Sunday walk and social at beautiful Formby Beach.
We will meet outside Formby Railway Station at 11:30 am before walking together towards the beach and pinewoods. Formby is a lovely place for a summer walk, with sandy dunes, sea views and plenty of space to enjoy good conversation in a relaxed setting.

Meeting point: Formby Railway Station

Plan: Meet at the station, walk to Formby Beach, enjoy the beach and pinewoods, and stop for a relaxed chat along the way.

Suggested train from Liverpool:
Take the Merseyrail train from Liverpool Central towards Southport. A good option should be the train around 10:36 am, arriving at Formby at approximately 11:05 am. This gives plenty of time to arrive, use the facilities if needed, and meet the group before we set off.

Please check train times before travelling, as Sunday services and event-day travel can sometimes change.

NOTE THIS IS THE LAST DAY OF THE OPEN GOLF TOURNAMENT AND THE TRAINS MAY BE BUSIER THAN USUAL AND RUN EVERY 15 MINUTES

What to bring:
Comfortable shoes, water, weather-appropriate clothing, sun cream if it is warm, and anything you would like to eat or drink during the walk.
Everyone is welcome. Come along, enjoy some fresh air, meet new people and spend a relaxed Sunday by the coast.
