Ocean with David Attenborough takes viewers on a breathtaking journey showing there is nowhere more vital for our survival, more full of life, wonder, or surprise, than the ocean.

In Ocean, the celebrated broadcaster and filmmaker reveals how his lifetime has coincided with the great age of ocean discovery. Through spectacular sequences featuring coral reefs, kelp forests and the open ocean, Attenborough shares why a healthy ocean keeps the entire planet stable and flourishing.

Stunning, immersive cinematography showcases the wonder of life under the seas and exposes the realities and challenges facing our ocean as never-before-seen, from destructive fishing techniques to mass coral reef bleaching. Yet the story is one of optimism, with Attenborough pointing to inspirational stories from around the world to deliver his greatest message: the ocean can recover to a glory beyond anything anyone alive has ever seen.

Following the film, and screening exclusively in cinemas, A Deeper Dive with David Attenborough takes audiences behind the scenes with additional footage and interviews on the making of Ocean.

This is a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the sights and sounds of LS Lowry’s iconic work, Going to the Match, in the UK’s first free permanent immersive experience.

Created in collaboration with Barcelona’s renowned Immersive studio, Layers of Reality, visitors will be surrounded by a creative exploration, in super-high resolution, of a painting that celebrates the excitement, anticipation, and ritual of going to a football match on a Saturday afternoon. From factory whistles to the excited chatter of an expectant crowd, this will be a glorious evocation of an experience shared by fans across the country, and a testament to LS Lowry’s exceptional skill at capturing the daily lives of working people – then and now.

It is only a short immersive experience - around 15 minutes approximately and there are galleries available to view, or we can have refreshments afterwards
