Social Deduction Tabletop Gaming

Looking forward to seeing you tonight at our first social deduction games meetup!
If you are interested but not sure, here are some Q&As to put your mind at ease:
1. Not sure what a social deduction game is?
Have you seen The Traitors? Perhaps you have played Mafia, Werewolf or Among us? Social deduction games are this type of game - where you usually have a good team trying to work together to complete an objective, whilst some traitors in the midst secretly try to prevent them succeeding.
2. Why are they fun?
Social deduction games are usually lighter, more playful and interactive. The objectives are usually simple, but the crux is whether you trust the right people or can convince them to believe you. This is usually pretty funny as long as you don't mind a bit of well meaning banter!
3. Do I have to have played before?
Absolutely not! Social deduction games are a really good introduction to the world of boardgames. The rules can typically be explained in just a few minutes.
4. But... I have never met any of you...?
This is fairly standard don't worry - Cardiff has a wonderful boardgame community which is very used to welcoming newcomers.
5. Can I come on my own?
I know I can feel nervous showing up to things alone, but you can be assured, we are very used to it. If you are nervous feel free to reach out to me first.
6. Is the venue dog friendly?
Yup!
7. Do they serve food?
Also yup!
8. What about parking?
It isn't amazing honestly - we will try this venue this week and if parking is a nightmare for people we can consider a different choice of location. Chapter and Hudo are great, but I just thought it was nice to have a slight change of scenery from some of the other groups... there are always the car parks behind chapter and hudo and then its about a 5 min walk
