Craft Brewery Stroll & Beer Tasting + (Optional) Ferry Ride [SF to Alameda]

The island of Alameda is home to some of the best craft breweries in California - names like Faction Brewing, Almanac Beer Co., and Canyon Club (among others) are award-winning microbreweries well known to cerevisaphiles (pronounced "sara-viz-a-file" - from Latin, the term for someone who loves beer). Trivia: zythophile (from Greek), cicerone, or hophead are also acceptable terms.

We will be attending an event called the Rock 'n Roll Beer Stroll 2024, starting with a scenic ferry ride to Alameda (optional to join this part). If you are already in the East Bay or want to arrive later (or separately), you can join us at the festival. You are responsible for your own transportation (and can coordinate with us) and for buying your event ticket.

Rock & Roll Beer Stroll 2024:
Join us in Downtown Alameda for good times all around. Sip and stroll your way through the historic downtown district tasting local craft beers. Enjoy an afternoon filled with craft beer, entertainment and a few tasty bites while learning about the unique styles of Northern California breweries and local chefs. We'll have 12+ locations ready to serve you -- each beer tasting will be unique and delightful. And while at some stops, you'll enjoy a savory or sweet bite prepared by a local eatery.

Tickets include a collectible tasting glass, premium beer tastings at unique downtown locations, small bites at some locations and a commemorative guide.

SF Bay Ferry: Alameda Main Street (https://sanfranciscobayferry.com/oakland-alameda-ferry-route) ferry terminal (plus a 15-minute rideshare)
BART: Fruitvale (https://www.bart.gov/stations/ftvl) is the nearest station, on either the Blue (OAK Airport/Dublin/Pleasanton) or Green (OAK Airport/Berryessa) lines (plus a 15-minute rideshare)

Check-In Time: 12:30-2:30pm; receive wristband, collector's glass and commemorative guide
Tasting Hours: 1:00-5:00pm; choose your own route for visiting the downtown tasting locations

The Plan:
11:00 am: Meet at the SF Ferry Building ( https://maps.app.goo.gl/CPmhqLSkYaJ9SP1X6 ), ferry pier Gate G1 (at the back) for intros and buy ferry tickets ($4.60 each way)
11:30 am (sharp): Board the Alameda Main Street ferry, arrive in Alameda at 11:50 am, take a rideshare to the Alameda Museum
12:30 pm: Check in to the festival (including those arriving separately or already in the East Bay)
12:30 pm - 5:30 pm: Enjoy Downtown Alameda, craft breweries & festival fun
5:45 pm: Wrap up, and head back via rideshare to Alameda Main Street ferry terminal
6:00 pm: Buy return ferry tickets ($4.60 each way)
6:15 pm (sharp): Board the Downtown SF ferry, arrive at the SF Ferry Building at 6:35 pm
7:00 pm: Say goodbyes
