Ed's Coral Castle (HOMESTEAD)

Details

Hidden in Homestead, Florida, Ed’s Coral Castle is one of the state’s most mysterious and enchanting landmarks. Built single-handedly by Edward Leedskalnin between 1923 and 1951, this sprawling stone structure is carved entirely out of coral rock—some blocks weighing several tons. Ed, a Latvian immigrant of slight build, worked mostly at night and never revealed exactly how he managed to move and shape the massive stones, leading many to speculate about lost secrets of engineering, magnetism, or sheer determination fueled by love. Today, visitors can wander through its curious stone furniture, towering walls, sundial, and whimsical carvings, experiencing both the artistry and the enduring mystery of a man who turned heartbreak into one of Florida’s most fascinating creations.

Please note: There is a $5 Activity Fee for this activity. This does not include the ticket price of $25. Also - the tours occur every hour on the hour so please don't be late.
