Independent Support Workers , are you looking for more social opportunities for your participants? GREENACRE-Sydney
SOCIAL INCLUSION INITIATIVE
We’re gathering expressions of interest for a relaxed social meet-up group for adults aged 18–50 years who would enjoy meeting new people, building confidence and taking part in community-based social activities.
This group may suit participants with a mild intellectual disabilities and or ASD who are able to participate in the activities with the support of their carer or support worker.
The idea is simple, come along with your carer, meet new people, have a bit of fun and build connections at your own pace.
Support workers are welcome to bring participants along and remain with them to provide support as needed.
Tomorrow, Saturday 3 October, we’ll be meeting in Greenacre.
Exact location can be provided...
There is no fee to attend.
We have access to a great community space with:
Pool tables
Table tennis
Basketball court
Soccer pitch
Coffee and snacks provided
Space to relax, connect and socialise
Locations and activities may vary over time, giving participants opportunities to experience different places, meet new people and become part of a welcoming social community.
This initiative is about more than just an outing.
Community. Connection. Belonging.
