What we’re about
Join the Social Innovators for Americans Association (SIAA), a unique Community of Practice with Purpose, committed to impacting social issues in Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia. This group aims to organize and facilitate open public forums such as creative problem-solving workshops, information sharing on social issues, social design hackathons, community leaders networking events, and community research collaboration activities to find optimal solutions to complex social problems. We aim to build solutions tailored to communities' needs from the ground up while satisfying multiple stakeholders' interests.
The SIAA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to community research and education, bringing together researchers, designers, social entrepreneurs, and community leaders to collaborate on resolving systemic issues impeding economic mobility.
Our mission is to bring everyone around one table — no matter their background or beliefs — together, we can craft unique solutions from which society can benefit. Our vision is an equitable world free of oppression where everyone has access to opportunity and can reach their true potential!
