Let's get outdoors and enjoy a beautiful, sunny spring day together in community while making new connections! We'll keep it simple: meet at Baker Park at noon, take a stroll through the park, then mosey over to Hooch & Banter around 1:30 pm for brunch. Come for both, just the walk, or just brunch, as it suits you! 🌷🏳️🌈
The City of Frederick is hosting an Earth Day Celebration featuring various vendors and activities we can engage with along the way. 🌍
We’ll naturally hit a few of the big landmarks and attractions as we walk. Those most familiar with the city are welcome to serve as our informal tour guides, and storytelling is always appreciated!
We will be walking at a leisurely pace on relatively flat, easy terrain with places to sit and rest along the way. The forecast (as of 4/13) is mostly sunny with temperatures between 75 and 80 during the walk.
Bring: Comfy walking shoes, water, sunscreen, hat/visor, ID & money for grub, and your coolest shades. 😎
SCHEDULE
- 12:00 PM: Meet at City of Frederick Rec Center (121 N Bentz Street)
- 12:15 PM: Begin Two Mile Loop around Baker Park (see posted map)
- 1:15 PM: Meet back at the Rec Center, head to Hooch & Banter
- 1:30 PM: Sit & Enjoy a nice Brunch
- 2:45 PM: Brunch Service Ends
- 3:00 PM: Head Out
