Embodiment Communication: Slowing Down into Presence and Connection

Details

Communication extends far beyond speaking and listening; it involves a dynamic interplay of verbal and nonverbal elements that convey meaning. Nonverbal communication, often referred to as body language, includes facial expressions, tone of voice, posture, gestures, and eye contact—all of which significantly shape how messages are received and interpreted. These cues can reveal emotions, attitudes, and intentions, profoundly influencing perceptions of trustworthiness and emotional states.
Using a blend of somatic exercises, mindful movement, breathwork, and relational practices (like Authentic Relating), we’ll practice noticing what’s alive in our bodies and expressing from that place with clarity and care. Whether you're new to embodiment work or have years of experience, this space is designed to meet you where you are. Consider wearing comfortable clothes and shoes that allow for a range of motion.

What to Expect:

  • Grounding breath and body awareness practices
  • Gentle movement and guided self-inquiry
  • Partner and small group exercises to explore relational presence
  • Space to reflect, share, and integrate

All body types are welcomed!
