Social Sisters Lunch Group

Who We ARE: Social Sisters is a small Lunch Group that meets every-other Thursday @11:30 a.m. Our goal is to develop meaningful friendships with like-minded women in the same phase of life.

REQUIREMENTS: 55-69 years old; Residing in or close to the Brentwood, Franklin, Nolensville area (where we mainly dine); Empty nesters, Retired or Working Part-Time; Newish to the area and Seeking Friends!

**Please Note: In addition to our bi-weekly lunches, we periodically also go shopping, attend tours, and visit places that require Walking and Mobilization.

Attendance is a Must as the goal is Friendships, as opposed to ‘acquaintances’ which is why the group is kept around 20 members. Friendships don’t develop without effort and consistency. Please Do Not request membership if you have a lot of other commitments or travel often.

Who We ARE NOT: A place to market your business or push a product; A group where you sign up for events and Continually Cancel; A place to no-show events; A group where you don’t participate; A group where RELIGIOUS, POLITICAL, or any topic or language that make others uncomfortable, are discussed.

This group will remain small and the number of members at lunches will be kept to 10-12 so we can get to know one another. I will do everything I can to make sure that all members feel comfortable in this group. This group is strictly female. I am requiring members to fill out a Questionnaire, including First and Last Name, a Recent Photo, Phone # (we contact one-another via group-text-message for last minute coffee, walks, events, etc.), and an Email address. I will not respond to those that do not meet those criteria.

Hosting Duties fall on all members. It’s not as intimidating as it sounds! It entails deciding where we dine, and the ‘Hostess’ (you) will be the one to contact the restaurant and ‘warn them’ 😊 when we are coming and how many of us there will be. It’s usually only 1-2 times a year that you will host. Newbies can take a few months to get the feel of things before having to host. We will walk you through it!

Due to the small size of our group and its waitlist, rules of dismissal will be strictly enforced.

REMOVAL FROM GROUP will result by: Canceling within 48 hours 3x's; No-showing an event 2 x's; A pattern of signing-up to get a spot, then removing yourself; Not obeying our 'topics and language' rules; Not participating in a group event every 4-6 wks. Remember, this is a small group with the intention of strong friendships, it is not for those with very limited time.

COST OF THE MEETUP APP Is Split Among Group. Current dues are $20 for membership until we renew again in 11/26 ($10 if joining after 5/26). Organizer makes zero profit and is paying the same as those in group. New members can attend two events before deciding if they want to stay in group & pay fee.

Social Sisters is truly a sisterhood of special women from all different backgrounds that are not only friends, but also look-out for and help one another in a variety of ways!
